PA-01 DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE JUDI REISS STATEMENT ON REP. BRIAN FITZPATRICK’S INTENDED VOTE AGAINST U.S. HOUSE ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT

Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick has stated he will be voting “no” on House impeachment votes scheduled for Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

LANGHORNE, PA—“I'm not surprised by Brian’s decision to vote “no”, but I am disappointed in his lack of leadership. He called for an investigation by law enforcement but continuously fails to defend them, including his former agency, even as they've been attacked by his colleagues. He stated, we need to hear from everyone then allowed the administration to block witnesses. He called the hearings partisan and a circus, using his own party’s talking points and undermining the seriousness of the process. His contradictory statements and abysmal attendance record during testimony proves, from the very beginning, Brian was never committed to finding the truth. Now more than ever, the people of this district deserve fearless leadership. Something I believe Brian has failed to live up to.”

Judi Reiss is the currently-elected Bucks County Prothonotary, and is a Democrat running to represent Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District, which covers all of Bucks County and Hatfield, Lansdale, Montgomery Township, Souderton, Telford and parts of Franconia and Horsham in Montgomery County.

JUDI REISS, PA-01 CANDIDATE FOR CONGRESS: STATEMENT ON IMPEACHMENT RESOLUTION AND CURRENT REPRESENTATIVE BRIAN FITZPATRICK’S VOTE

“The American people deserve to know the facts about how far the President was willing to go to influence our elections.

It’s disappointing to see Brian Fitzpatrick fall in partisan line, stand against transparency and defend an administration willing to hide the truth at all costs. He’s insinuated an inquiry would be a distraction from the issues. In my opinion, election security and abuse of power are issues that matter greatly.

The fact is, we can and must be able to hold our leaders accountable while also talking about the issues that affect our communities, such as infrastructure, healthcare and education. If our leaders can’t do both, then it is time for new ones.”

Judi Reiss is a Democrat running to represent Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District, which covers all of Bucks County and the Hatfield, Lansdale and Montgomery Township part of Montgomery County.

CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE JUDI REISS JOINS STRIKING UAW MEMBERS FOR SOLIDARITY POTLUCK

LANGHORNE, PA—Congressional candidate and current Bucks County Prothonotary Judi Reiss joined striking United Auto Workers (UAW) members Sunday evening during a “Solidarity Potluck”.

The potluck was held at the picket line on Cabot Blvd. Attendees were asked to bring food to share with strikers and their families.

“It is one thing to say you stand with these workers,” said Reiss, “but it’s just as important to sit down with them and their families, talk with them, listen and find out who they are.”

UAW members have been on strike since September 16 over contract negotiations with General Motors.

“When workers stand united they give each other a better shot at things like fairer wages and safer working conditions. These are our friends and our neighbors, and our campaign is going to be about them and their rights.”

Judi Reiss is a Democrat running to represent Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District, which covers all of Bucks County and the Hatfield, Lansdale and Montgomery Township part of Montgomery County.
